How
often do you conduct your training?
Unlike
other survival schools, we conduct our training
only on the weekends when most people have the
time to attend our training. Though we conduct
our training all year round, some of our training
programs are scaled back during the winter months
due to weather conditions and safety.
What
type of survival training do you teach?
We
teach mostly “modern survival” and
some primative survival too. The difference is
"modern survival" is learning how to
survive in the outdoors with a limited amount
of items you pack and carry in a survival kit.
Primative survival is learning how to survive
with nothing but your bare hands and whatever
mother nature provides you, rocks, trees, plants,
water, etc.
Where
do you teach your survival training?
We
have several training areas, one is located near
Vicenza, another is located in Asiago and one
of our newest training areas is locate at Lugagnano
D'Arda at the Parco Provinciale where ROBERTO
LORENZANI's Adventure Academy is located. When
you register for a program we will provide you
further information such as where and how to meet
us for our training.
Can I bring some
of my own survival gear to the training?
No,
everyone will be issed and train with the same
exact equipment. Do NOT bring any of your own
survival gear or you will be told to leave it
in your car.
Can
I bring my softair gun on the overnite training
programs?
NO! We are NOT teaching battle drills
& tactics, we are teaching land navigation,
emergency first aid, outdoor survival and military
survival but WITHOUT any weaponry. So do NOT bring
any softair guns to our training or you will be
told to leave it in your car. Absolutely NO softair
guns!
May I bring my son
or daughter with me?
Provided
your son or daughter is at least 13 years old
and you pay for their program fees, yes, they
are welcome to attend our training. If they are
not 13 years old or older, they will NOT be permitted
to attend our training. No one under the age of
18 will be permitted to attend our training without
a parent or guardian being present, and everyone’s
identification will be checked prior to the training
too. By the way, WOMEN ARE WELCOME to attend our
training too.
Do
I need to bring any documents with me?
Yes,
you MUST bring the following documents, either
photocopies or the originals:
1. a valid Identification
card.
2. a statement
from your family doctor stating you are in good
physical condition to attend our training.
Note: Both documents
are required and not just one or the other. And
only Italian or US citizens may attend our training
for two reason; (a) classes are taught in Italian
& English and (b) for personal security reasons.
Do
I need to bring any food or beverages with me?
No,
the program fees include a lunch & beverages
for the day courses and a lunch, dinner &
beverages for the overnite courses.
Do
I need to bring any special clothing, footgear
or other items with me?
For
the day courses, you may wear whatever you like,
but for the overnite training we would like everyone
to be in the same uniform. So if you own a camouflage
shirt and hat, please bring them with you. If
not, we will try to provide you a camouflage shirt
and boonie hat to wear. As for footgear, we strongly
recommend you wear either hiking shoes or military
boots and no tennis shoes. For our overnite training
and day land navigation courses, you will need
to bring extra socks and a change of clothing
along with your toiletries, (soap, toothbrush,
towel, toilet paper, etc). And ___ x AA batteries
for your two-way radio and flashlite, which will
be returned back to you upon completion of the
training.
What if it rains
or the weather forecast calls for rain, will training
continue?
We
would like to see training continue, unfortunately
too many students in the past have called in and
canceled their position or they simply did not
show up. Therefore for our day courses, if it’s
raining or if it’s going to rain, training
will be canceled and rescheduled for another day.
For our overnite training, if it’s raining
or if the weather forecast calls for rain, we
will cancel the training and reschedule it for
another weekend. But if it’s sunny or cloudy
and it begins to rain once training is in progress,
will continue on with the training as planned.
Our
club/organization is interested in attending some
of your programs, but we would like to
know more about the training before we enroll,
can you provide us more information?
No problem, here's
what we'll do. Tell us which programs you are
interested in attending and we'll allow two members
from your club/organization to attend the training
for a half day. And for free too, no charge.
But if they decide to stay for the remainder
of the day because they enjoyed the program so
much, they will be required to pay for entire
day of training.
I
am a scoutmaster and I have a group of scouts
who would like to learn some military outdoor
survival skills. What do I have to do to coordinate
this training?
First,
we need to know how many scouts want this training.
Second, where do you want this training to be
conducted? And third, when do you want this training?
Once you have provided us this information and
we check our training schedule is when we can
tell you if we can accommodate your request or
if you need to pick another date.
Do
I need to forward a deposit?
No, a deposit is
not required. But if you register for a class
and you change your mind less than 24 hours prior
to the training or you fail to let us know you
are not coming. And later you decide to register
again for another course, you will be charged
an additional penalty fee for failing to properly
cancel your previous position. So please DO NOT
register or contact us until you are ready to
attend our training, space is limited.
